People in Utah have supported themselves in many ways. Here are a few ways people have "earned a living":

Hunting and gathering: This strategy was used by prehistoric peoples and by historic American Indian tribes.

Agriculture: Prehistoric peoples began farming and domesticating animals in about 0 A.D. When Anglo American settlers first came, agriculture was important because they had to grow everything they ate.
