The Beehive
The beehive is a symbol of hard work and cooperation among the members of a community. It recognizes the way bees work together to make honey for their hive. LDS settlers adopted this symbol because they shared these values. As newcomers to Utah, they worked together to build towns, farms, cities, and communities. The beehive is often paired with the word industry, which means hard work. Can you find a beehive on any other Utah state symbols?
